The monograph deals with the problem of state interference and its impacts on the functioning of the market and the behaviour of economic subjects. The work contributes to improve knowledge related to the importance and role of the state in the national economy, discusses the nature of its operations and activities that significantly affect the market and private markets subjects. It provides a typology of state interferences, analyses the mechanism of state interventions in the case of the existence of market failures and in the case of interventions with impacts on the international market. As a form of state interference government revenues and expenditures are examined as well. It is also drawn attention to the fact that the state interference does not always lead to a more effective solution - on the contrary, it may lead to a government failure. The issue of state interferences and their impacts as an important and controversial topic in economics causes a number of substantial dispotes regarding the admissibility of state interventions, extent, forms and their reasons, which are also discussed in this work.
